Tsotsi no longer focuses on the gang:<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u2018<em>something had tampered with the mechanism that had governed his life<\/em>\u2019<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">i) Tsotsi is unable to function as a leader of the gang.<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">ii) His vague decisions suggest the weakening of his \u2018dark impulses\u2019.<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">iii) Compare his decisions for the gang with his decision-making in Chapter 1.<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">iv) He is more concerned about the baby than with the next victim.<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">v) He is irritated by Butcher and Die Aap.<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u00a0<\/p><p>2. Significance of Boston:<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">i) Draws attention to the plight of victims of violence.<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">ii) His sense of worthlessness equates to those that are abandoned.<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">iii) He represents the ongoing violence in the townships.<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">iv) The acceptance of the violence amongst the communities: no sympathy for him; he is an object of ridicule and curiosity.<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u00a0<\/p><p>3. Dlamini\u2019s funeral:<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">i) Men who are isolated from their families also experience a sense of abandonment:<\/p><ul><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul><li>No one is there to mourn him.<\/li><li>Dlamini\u2019s life is not acknowledged.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">ii) No closure for the family. Maxulu will always wonder what happened to him.<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">iii) Apartheid dehumanises people:<\/p><ul><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul><li>The minister does not even know Dlamini\u2019s name.<\/li><li>The depressing state of the cemetery.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>4. Tsotsi&#8217;s perception of the woman:<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">i) Tsotsi\u2019s view of women is changing:<\/p><ul><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul><li>He sees the woman as a mother and a nurturer.<\/li><li>He sees her as a life sustainning force for his baby.
